Assistant Instructor - Kids Class

Alex Aharonian is an Assistant Instructor in the Children’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program at Daniel Gracie Academy, where he is passionate about helping young students grow both on and off the mat.

Having started wrestling at the age of 6, Alex experienced firsthand how youth martial arts build confidence, resilience, discipline, and the ability to remain calm through adversity. These early lessons continue to shape his approach to teaching, allowing him to connect deeply with children and guide them through challenges in a positive, encouraging way.

Since 2020, Alex has been training at Daniel Gracie Academy, becoming an active and dedicated member of the academy family. Residing in Kensington, he takes great pride in serving his local community and creating a welcoming, supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.

As an assistant instructor, Alex is known for his patience, enthusiasm, and ability to relate to students of all ages. He believes that children’s Jiu-Jitsu is about more than learning techniques—it’s about building character, fostering teamwork, and helping each child develop the confidence to succeed in life.
